City facelift comes with new design
According to the information, the City sedan can be brought with minor changes. The company can make changes to the design while keeping the engine of the current model. If we are to believe the reports, the new city could be launched in India in 2024. There is also information that it will be brought only in a gasoline engine.
Pictures of the test model show that the Honda City facelift has undergone minor design changes, including a new fog lamp housing and front bumper with airdam. While there is no image of the rear of the car, it is likely that the city facelift will also receive a restyled rear bumper. As for the interior, it is likely that the company will update the infotainment system and add more equipment.
Diesel models are discontinued
The Honda City facelift is expected to come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a petrol hybrid option available on the current model. Honda is preparing to drop its diesel engine range early next year. The company is about to discontinue its diesel engine range in India with the new stage of BS6 emissions standards.
Honda has already announced that the current generation Jazz, WR-V and 4th generation City will soon be discontinued. The company will sell the Amaze and City sedans, while also launching a new compact SUV to take on the Hyundai Creta. Honda is currently offering the WR-V subcompact SUV in India. However, this SUV has not been able to show anything special so far. When Honda’s new SUV is launched in India, it will compete with Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet and Nissan Magnite.

The company recently announced the launch of a new SUV in the Indonesian market. The company has also shared a teaser of this SUV in which the company has named this car as RS. The reports say that this Honda concept car could be an updated model of WR-V.
The company has set a plan to bring 30 electric cars to market by 2030 as part of its electrification plan. During this time, Honda will produce 2 million electric vehicles worldwide. Honda currently sells electric cars such as Honda One EV and Honda-E in the international market.
